Excellent - gender targets (as with much of the consulting industry), but also LGBTI inclusion programs, programs for employment of First Peoples. Maternity leave for the primary carer regardless of gender, options for secondary careers.

They have diversity and inclusion teams which run events focusing on these issues. They promote discussion during morning tea focusing on particular issues which I found interesting. Issues included respect to women, indigenous issues, LGBT, modern slavery, etc.

Company's gender balance is above industry average, and younger generations have OK gender balance and representation of minorities. Some negative attitudes do remain however. Women underrepresented in senior management. Company is typically quite flexible regarding maternity leave, childcare, etc.

GHD is a huge supporter of diversity and inclusion. All levels of management are vocal supporters of LGBT inclusion and support, indigenous employment and mental health awareness. I'm indigenous and have been put on the advisory committee for GHD's reconciliation action plan. GHD has a massive number of women in leadership and management roles to the extent that people joke about it being harder to be promoted as a man. Maternity leave and paternity leave are given to anyone having a child. Turnover rate is around the industry average for consulting companies with people leaving in search of better pay or different work.

GHD does a lot in this area e.g. Career Trackers and Career Seekers which aim to help indigenous people progress their careers and aim to help anyone who has been out of a professional job for a while back in the workplace.

My office participates in the career seekers program. This program gets refugees and gives them opportunities to work and get experience in Australia. In my office we had a career seeker from Iran with over 30 years experience, however struggled to find work when he came to Australia (issues with overseas qualifications, etc.). GHD gave him a chance to get some experience with an internship which helped him get another job in the engineering industry in Australia. Very good program.

We have a great number of programs running. one of my favourite is one that offers jobs to migrants who aren't having their qualifications recognised by other companies. We offer a temporary position to see what they are capable off

GHD has partnered with organisations, namely CareerSeekers, that provide career opportunities to those from less privileged backgrounds.

CareerSeeker program to provide work experience/job opportunities to refugees. We have a Reconciliation Action Plan that looks at hiring Aboriginal Australians and using contractors that have a certain percentage of their employees who are Aboriginal. There is a career Trackers program that helps Aboriginal people get into the workforce and gain experience.
